Hotel Review: Haus Jehle B&B in Lech, Austria

Fred Depraetere
Austria, Haus Jehle views

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Haus Jehle B&B in Lech, Austria, situated at the heart of a large ski resort in the Alps.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Lech, this charming bed and breakfast offers a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and stunning mountain views.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the hosts, who made us feel right at home, with one of the ladies speaking excellent English. This cozy, family-run bed and breakfast was decorated in a traditional Austrian style and equipped with modern amenities, including a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom in the room.

The highlight of our mornings was the delicious buffet breakfast, featuring fresh bread, hams and cheeses, yoghurts with all the trimmings, an egg and and freshly brewed coffee or tea. It was the perfect start to our day of skiing and exploring the beautiful surroundings. The B&B also offers free parking and free Wi-Fi, which was a great bonus.

Haus Jehle Lech

The location of Haus Jehle is ideal for both winter and summer activities. It's just a short walk, or a free bus ride every ten minutes which stops in front of the building, from the ski lifts and the village center, making it convenient for accessing the slopes and enjoying the local restaurants and shops.

On top, Lech tends to offer some of the best skiing in the Alps, but is also extremely expensive overall. Haus Jehle offers a more affordable alternative and is just as good, if not better than many of the local hotels.

Overall, our stay at Haus Jehle was a memorable one. The combination of the warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and stunning location made it a truly special place to stay.
